What is the TFA?

The TFA was founded in 2025 when my kid got their first oral appliance. I went to write down the instructions from the orthodontist to hang on the fridge, and the next thing I knew I had created Teeny the Tooth Fairy, an agent of the Braces Division of tooth fairies. It didn't take long before I realized this tool could help other kids and parents just like us. Thus, the Tooth Fairy Agency was born.

How to use the TFA:

• Free resources: We have a page of free resources, things that worked for our family in the world of toothbrushing and oral appliances. This is an ever-growing list, and we welcome any & all suggestions for things to include. This section is set up for kids to view, so it's written FROM the TFA in order to preserve the magic behind the curtain.

Sign up for a FREE Tooth Fairy Agency portal account to access our store, to keep the details out of prying tiny eyeballs.

• One time fee: You can copy the Canva template into your own Canva to customize to your heart's content. As you receive instructions from your orthodontist, I suggest making a copy of the appliance page and customizing it from there – we needed to reprint a few times so it was handy to have the older versions. If you get into it and decide you would rather not have to be in charge of writing the letters, you're always welcome to sign up for a subscription later.

• Welcome Packet: Anyone who purchases either the Canva Template or the subscription service is also welcome to add-on the Welcome Packet. More than just Printables, it's a one-time package that comes in the mail to support you in sending these letters from your Tooth Fairy Agent. You'll receive a physical letter to your child welcoming them to the program, and an envelope of stickers for sealing your Agent's letters and coaching them through their brushing habits.

• Subscription: Join as a member to receive ongoing Tooth Fairy support with zero writing or Canva skills required. You choose the tooth fairy agent that best suits your kiddo, send the instructions your orthodontist gives you for your particular appliance and kid after each appointment, and within 24 hours you will receive a printable letter from your own personal tooth fairy.

Once you've set up your Canva template or Subscription service:

1. You can always access the Portal Login from our website navigation menu.
2. Print the Welcome letter from your Tooth Fairy Agent.
3. Fold and put on the fridge, the breakfast table, your living room's fairy door... wherever is best in your family for your kid to be receiving "Fairy Mail."
4. Update the letters from your Agent (either in your subscription portal or templates) whenever you have a dentist or orthodontist appointment. Be sure to include anything that they may be struggling with, such as brushing consistency, remembering to turn the expander, or pain with adjustments. Your Agent should be addressing these struggles as the journey goes on, suggesting solutions (such as "soft foods that might help" and correspond to foods your child enjoys), and cheering them on.
5. We're going for magic and positive reinforcement here – please don't make your Agent into an adversary or villain, as it means your child won't trust them or care for the agent's approval which is necessary for this to work as coaching and accountability.
6. Be sure to write or set up a Congratulations letter when your child graduates from their orthodontia program!
